Who are we?

We are Jimmy and Judy

We talked about doing a bit of traveling. We both have dreams of far away places, places that we have always wanted to visit. We have both been to distant lands over the years, Jimmy to South Africa, America Spain Portugal couple of times with his music(more about that later). I've been to Australia with the family, we have both visited America although to different parts. We have also both been to different western parts of Europe ie. Spain, France, Portugal, Holland but always for one or two weeks the usual Irish time for a break. I once attempted to walk part of the Camino across the Perrinees but due to family circumstances had to cut it short. We talked about doing that together. We went camping every weekend, with a two man tent a small Peugeot van and Molly. We started canoeing, something Jimmy had done quiet a bit of in his earlier days and still had his. I borrowed one at first to find out if it was for me before investing, before long I was bitten and bought one. We canoed rivers, lakes, canals and the open seas between climbing mountains, even the highest one (Carrantoughill). By now we had covered almost every county of our beautiful country. It was like being on holidays all year, as one weekend ran into another. The freedom of living in a tent was greater than we could have imagined. We would just find a sheltered place to pitch, in forests where possible to proctect against the elements on windy rainy nights. Sometimes we would camp along the lakeshore, the riverbank, the beach, always it seemed to be just the right place.

As the year progressed we talked more and more about getting a camper and heading for Europe. Would we wait another year?Where would we start? How would we go about it? Would it be possible? Were we just dreaming?
