clip8_15So there we were having a nice pint and a a few tunes , the atmosphere is lively. Many of the local neighbours are in for a chat and the craic is good. Soon feet take to the floor as the music invites and excites. As the music fades in the wee small hours, conversation is still in full flow as some have not met up since the ambassador's visit. A neighbour had observed us passing a few days earlier on our bicycles, and asked if we got out on them often, and how far would we travel? We had just been to Leitrim about 55km, to visit friends and were on our way back after an overnight stay, which seemed to be a very long way both to her and to us as we were also surprised at how easy it seemed. Does that windmill produce enough power to meet all your needs  another neighbour asked ? yes , thats mighty no bills then ! no, enough to run your t.v. another asks ? we don't have one, your washing machine, dishwasher and iron then ? we don't have need of any of them, what ! how can you live without a washing machine and the t.v.?

As i expressed how we choose to live this way and that it is just a different way of thinking, my neighbour said that there was no offence intended "but" do you know that you are not like normal people?

So we began to wonder what that means "normal" ! ! !

Is it normal to watch t.v. for hours ? is it normal to use a dishwasher or even a washing machine and an iron.

Why is it seen to be going back in time to choose not to use electricial appliances, to wash by hand and reduce water consumption and the chemicals that are being put down into our drains.

So if we think outside of the box, and live the way we choose but don't expect others to choose it, does this mean we are not normal ?

so to summarise:

  1. if you grow what you eat
  2. cycle instead of using the car
  3. produce your own power
  4. collect your own water
  5. forrage for firewood
  6. reuse old stuff instead of new
  7. make gifts instead of buying
  8. use a composting toilet
  9. Avoid the bills where possible
  10. Dont conform to church or state views                                                                                                                                                                                                      Guess What......the diffrence.. is your not NORMAL                                                                                                                                                                                         LUCKY YOU                                                                       clip8_52c
